Flying is more than just a profession to me. It’s my passion and my way of life.
My name is Sven Albert, I’m in my early forties, and a proud father of a wonderful daughter. I grew up in Germany’s beautiful Black Forest and later found my way to Eastern Switzerland, at the foot of the Säntis, where I love the closeness to the mountains and the sky.
Alongside my work as a flight instructor at paraworld.ch, I also work as a freelance tandem pilot. In training, I support new students on their journey to becoming pilots — from their very first training days to their first high flights. I’m also fascinated by the technical side of flying: during glider servicing and annual inspections, I can fully apply my knowledge of equipment, aerodynamics, and safety.
As a league pilot, I spent many years gaining cross-country flying experience. Today, I lead cross-country camps and flying trips, where I pass on my passion for flying long distances — with a clear focus on safety, precise planning, and understanding the complex dynamics of the air.
On my flying trips, participants can expect a deep understanding of flight, combined with my calm and forward-looking approach, a touch of perfectionism, and plenty of airtime. Because in the end, that’s what matters most to me: the moment when everything comes together, the wing lifts, and the sky opens up to a new adventure.
