General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
1. Preamble
We are pleased about your interest in Join the Adventure GmbH. Join the Adventure GmbH offers paragliding equipment and accessories, paragliding trips, advanced training courses abroad, as well as services related to equipment maintenance and consulting, as described on our website www.paraworld.ch.
Paragliding is considered a safe sport and is therefore not classified as high-risk under Swiss accident insurance. Nevertheless, each pilot bears full personal responsibility.
By submitting your booking with Join the Adventure GmbH or one of its sales points, a contract is concluded between you and Join the Adventure GmbH. These General Terms and Conditions form an integral part of that contract. We kindly ask that you read them carefully.
2. Prices
All prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and can be found in the current offers of Join the Adventure GmbH. Prices are subject to change without notice. Issued vouchers are non-refundable.
3. Payment Terms
All courses, trips, and training programs must be paid in full prior to participation. Failure to make timely payment entitles Join the Adventure GmbH to withhold services or withdraw from the contract.
Payment for delivered goods is due within 10 days of receiving the invoice. Generally, all payments can be made by invoice. Join the Adventure GmbH reserves the right to deliver goods only upon advance payment or cash on delivery.
4. Cancellations / Withdrawal
4.1 Safety- or Weather-Related Cancellations:
Cancellations issued by Join the Adventure GmbH due to safety or weather-related reasons do not entitle the participant to any refund.
4.2 Training / Advanced Courses:
Contracts for courses or training may be terminated by either party at any time. No course fees will be refunded.
4.3 Equipment:
Once used, equipment cannot be returned. However, it may be deposited as a trade-in, subject to individual agreement between you and Join the Adventure GmbH.
4.4 Trips:
Contracts for trips may be terminated by either party at any time. Termination must be in writing, and the effective date is the date the written notice is received by Join the Adventure GmbH or by you.
Cancellation fees are as follows:
- 60–30 days before departure: 25% of the total price
- 30–15 days before departure: 50% of the total price
- 14–8 days before departure: 100% of the total price
- 7–0 days before departure: 100% of the total price
5. Insurance
Join the Adventure GmbH is insured in accordance with its duty of care. Participants are not covered by Join the Adventure GmbH’s insurance. It is the participant’s responsibility to maintain adequate health and accident insurance.
Please note in particular the legal requirement to have liability insurance for third-party claims on the ground (Art. 10 VLK, SR 748.941). Participants fly at their own risk. Join the Adventure GmbH disclaims any liability.
6. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law exclusively governs the contractual relationship between you and Join the Adventure GmbH.
Should any provision of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. Invalid provisions shall be replaced by applicable law or by a provision that most closely reflects the purpose of the contract.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
