It’s been many years since I discovered paragliding by chance — and yet the fascination remains unbroken to this day.
This unique combination of simplicity, freedom, and closeness to nature makes paragliding in Switzerland something truly special for me. Especially the moment of taking off after launch fills me with happiness every single time — a feeling of lightness, contentment, and boundless freedom.
Where everything began
About 18 years ago, my whole life revolved around paragliding. A day was only perfect if I could somehow fit in a flight. Later on, I even got the opportunity to work professionally as a developer in the paragliding industry. It was an exciting and educational time that deepened my passion even further.
Today, I appreciate being able to fly again without work on my mind and to have that time in the air just for myself. Alongside flying, other passions have developed over the years too: on a beautiful day you’ll find me mountaineering, biking, or ski touring in winter. For some time now, I’ve also been taking part in triathlons — the variety is fun and keeps me fit.
But one thing remains: paragliding is and always will be something special. Every time I take off, I’m reminded why this sport has inspired me for so many years.
My experience as a flight instructor at Paraworld
My first steps as a flight instructor took place in 2011 at paraworld.ch — one of the best-known paragliding schools in Switzerland. Since then, I’ve remained involved with great pleasure, sometimes more, sometimes less intensively. I really value the professional environment at paraworld.ch, where I can both continue learning and pass on my knowledge.
In paragliding instruction, I especially enjoy guiding aspiring pilots from their very first launch attempts all the way to flying safely and independently. On flying trips, I love sharing beautiful flights, discovering new flying areas together, and passing on the fascination of the sport.
