Flying the Pyrenees
Program
We set up our Pyrenean base camp in the small Catalonian village of Ager. Ager is known for its weather reliability, wild limestone mountains, its thermal and cross-country flying potential and the reversing thermals typical of Ager, which allow us to glide until dark. If the weather is suitable, a two-day trip with an overnight stay in the heart of the Pyrenees, in Castejon de Sos, is on the program. Strong thermals and high cloud bases characterize this flying gem.
The focus of the paragliding week is on local thermal flying. We will support you with meteorological briefings, short theoretical inputs and practical exercises to help you progress during take-off and flight. The aim of the week is to gain as much airtime and experience as possible in order to have an ideal start to the coming Swiss thermal season.
The flying week in the Pyrenees with Chrigel and Dani: The ideal trip for pilots who would like to fly into spring in Spain. The trip is suitable for experienced students, thermal beginners as well as experienced pleasure pilots who like to fly locally. The trip can be combined with the second Pyrenees week.
