Flying the Soca Valley
Program
Socata is considered one of the most beautiful flying areas in the Julian Alps. Along the turquoise Socca, which has created a fairytale valley over millions of years, lie the famous flying mountains of Stol, Kobala and, further south, the kilometer-long soaring ridge of Lijak.
Regardless of the pilot's level, extended thermal and pleasure flights and, for XC enthusiasts, distances of over 100 km are possible.
After a happy landing on one of the countless, huge landing areas along the river and a cooling dip in the crystal-clear Soca, we take off for a culinary flight of fancy.
We stay in the immediate vicinity of Kobarid and can reach all launch sites within a short drive.
