Paragliding is, for me, a way to return to nature and to be present in the here and now. What fascinates me is moving with and within the air and experiencing the world from a new perspective.
I got into paragliding through my partner Christian. When we met, he was in the middle of his tandem training. Since then, we’ve shared many flights together—especially on hike-and-fly trips, whether on high-alpine tours or relaxed hikes.
After three years as a passenger, I finally wanted to know what it feels like to be alone under the wing—and it was amazing. Since then, we’ve continued traveling and flying together, just no longer in tandem.
For me, flying means fully being in the moment, listening to your own feelings, and continually growing. This constant learning is incredibly enriching for me—especially when you find your flow.
As a launch assistant, I find it especially rewarding to support students on their first flight and to witness the moment they take off for the very first time. It’s important to me that there’s a calm and positive atmosphere at the launch site, so everyone has the space they need to focus on their flights. At the same time, I really value the many interesting conversations that come with a day as a launch assistant—because the best thing about flying is sharing the joy of it.
