When paragliding, my mind is empty, my contact with civilization is minimal, and I can rely 100% on myself, my skills, and my preparation. Each time, I learn something new about myself and about flying. And all of this in what is definitely the most beautiful classroom in the world: the sky.
I especially enjoy being a flight instructor and tour guide because it allows me to get to know people and countries beyond the everyday. Paragliding—particularly in an unfamiliar country with unfamiliar weather and an unfamiliar rescue system—is a real adventure, and my love of diverse food and drink usually gets its share too.
Flying requires practice, self-assessment, body awareness, risk management, courage, adaptability, coordination, and much more—but at the end of the day, I’ve been doing it from the very beginning, and hopefully forever, mainly for one reason: to have fun together.
